Safety Signs

Safety signs are used to warn workers and visitors of workplace hazards and communicate other safety warnings.  They can also help encourage safe work practices.

Posting the appropriate safety signs is important.  Deciding which safety signs to post is based on the hazards present in the workplace and OSHA regulations.

Reminding employees of required personal protective equipment is a common use of safety signs.  These can be plant wide/jobsite specific requirements, department specific or equipment specific requirements.

In some situations safety signs have to be a specific color and or size to meet government regulations.  Safety signs have to be clean and visible.  Damaged and/or worn signs should be replaced.
