Step 6 – Maintain Good Lighting
Replace burned out light fixtures or bulbs to ensure walking surfaces are well lit.
Part of the frequent inspection of the facility should include the condition of the lighting for walkways, stairs and other common areas. This should include both inside and outside the facility.
Maintaining good lighting will make it easier for employees to identify and be aware of slip. Trip and fall hazards.
