Beat the Heat
If a worker is not alert or seems confused:
- This could be Heat Stroke
- Call 911 immediately
- Apply ice to the groin and underarms as soon as possible
Symptoms of Heat Exhaustion
- Dizziness / Headache
- Sweaty Skin
- Weakness / Cramps
- Nausea / Vomiting
- Fast Heart Rate
Symptoms of Heat Stroke
- Red, Hot, Dry Skin
- High Temperature
- Confusion
- Convulsions
- Fainting
When you call for help, you need to:
- Be Prepared To Describe The Symptoms
- Give Specific And Clear Directions To Your Work Site/Location
