WORKER’S COMP FUND MEMBERS ACHIEVE ANOTHER RECORD SAFETY YEAR

The Alabama Self Insured Worker’s Compensation Fund, sponsored by the Business Council of Alabama, has announced that 2017 was one of the safest years on record. Eighty-two percent of member companies reported no lost time claims in 2017.

The Fund has served Alabama businesses since 1978. Providing loss control and claims service through Employer’s Claim Management, the Fund works with members to encourage and enhance the safety efforts through a variety of educational services. Training programs include accident investigations, forklift training and supervisor training. Workshops covering claim and loss control techniques and other educational services are provided throughout the year. Members also have access to an extensive video and safety material library provided at no charge.
